2016 – Year in Review

2016 : what a roller coaster ride of a year !  

The year has been one of the best years of my life so far as I can smell the feeling of being stronger than ever from the lessons that I have learned in those previous 365 days ( Click Here for Few ) . 🙂

2016 had something amazing for me which made me even more stronger from within. You could say it’s been the best year of my life so far; I have been incredibly fortunate to have received so many amazing opportunities, gifts, love, care, support from the people all over the world.

Work & Achievements

I love what I really do. I love my work, so because of my passion, dedication and never-giving up behavior i was able to reach to the one of the top companies of Nepal, Kantipur as a Security Analyst. It was really great accomplishment of my life to be a part of Nepal’s top online web portal. I didn’t stop over here. This gave me even more power to enhance my capabilities, so I worked harder to get on the summit. I still remember those sleepless and frustrating nights. Finally, this year I made it to Google Inc. and made it to the #26. Something worthy.

Ever since 2015, I was desperate to mark my name on Facebook’s “Hall Of Fame” but I could not complete in 2015. However; I turned out to be pretty lucky in 2016 thus, I marked my name on the “Hall of Fame” on October 2016. As the list goes by and I would like to express my gratitude to all the companies who appreciate me and my work.

Gifts & Rewards

OMG !! 2016 was like ‘years of gift’ for me. I got many gifts from companies, friends, relatives and from my well wishers. I got Laptops, GoPro, t-shirts, stickers, clothes, handmade paper cards and many others. Gift have their own values and norms but all have equal values for me.

Everyone know, we all love to travel a lot so I worked with  one of the largest online marketplace and hospitality service around the world for a week and guess what they gifted me 7 days vacation anywhere around the world. I was like OMFG ! I was so so happy and people started suggesting me the destination but I had one place in my mind, ‘Paris’. I was so happy with the offer, keeping the offer in my mind, I was working on my day-to-day life but in the end I was unable to travel with the offer as I had college, business and never-ending assignments deadline. I am happy that I was offered with those offers rather that not traveling. I believe that things is just a beginning. I believe those kind of offers will strike again in near-future. And trust me, this is not the best gift I have ever received. One of the best gift I have ever received was ‘handmade scafs’. That was so special for me because that was created with lot’s of effort, time and dedication by one of my friend, Melina. I am so grateful for her for making me feel so special. Thank You. The most precious gift for me is the ‘time’ given by my friends to me.

 

2016 had been full of cash rewards. I grabbed lot of rewards from different national and international corporation. I am very thankful to Google, they have really changed my life. Looking back now and then, Google transformed my life into something that i always aspired it to be. They are the real source of my life.

People

I love to connect with new and delightful people so that different ideas, view, opinion can be shared between us and never-ending friendships can be established. I came to encounter many people this year, everyone has been so good,I just feel like locking them inside my heart and throw a key away hahahha !!! If someone is my friend, it’s always my wiliness to help them to grow, achieve and I always make sure happiness is always around them. Thank you all for being a part of my life and how grateful I am to have all of you beautiful people in my life. 🙂

Love

“Love” is the beautiful sensation that we share with the people who we care. I am an open-minded person. I see people with care. I always have love for each and every living being on the planet as we all share the same sky and we all breath for living. 🙂

No living being can escape the feeling of ‘love’. It’s a natural gift of god to our mankind so it’s auto. Love is one of the beautiful feeling of the world that we share with someone else with care, respect and honor. Love doesn’t always make you happy. But it makes you better. Happy too, but also unhappy. Because love knows that its central function in your life is to help you grow. Growth hurts. 2016 came up with lots of glimpses of “love” for me but none were ever matching my craziness mindset and no one ever became that “one”, so I stopped looking for that, may be 2017 have better solution for this, so let 2017 decide.

Travelling

2016 took me to some of the beautiful places around the country but hope 2017 will take me around the world with the people I love. 😀 It’s always my wiliness to travel around the world with my family & friends and hope those days will come soon. I traveled across 10+ districts, 20+ cities and my favourite on the list was Pokhara and Chitlang. There is something about Pokhara, may be the weather, so I always get attached to it.

I still remember, One early morning, I woke up and went on a scooty ride, straight to the Fewa Lake and the sound of the waves of lake was so refresh and beautiful that it will make you relax. I almost forgot to go back. That was a one of the reason why I love Pokhara as we can enjoy the lake view, sound and weather. ( If you visit Pokhara, then my highly recommendation is that you visit the lake early morning to enjoy the morning weather and sound.)

 

Chitlang, is the heaven near the Kathmandu valley. Just 4-5 hours from the valley and you are on the way to the nearby beautiful heaven. I am really attracted to the weather, natural beauty and beautiful people. So, whenever I have short term holidays, Chitlang is my favourite place to travel.

The First

There’s always first time in our life but 2016 made me to do something pretty amazing and cool for the first time. There are many things that I did for the first time in 2016 but I am not able to recall all and it won’t be reliable to write even all but I would love to share some of the beautiful things that ever happened & I did for the first time in 2016.

• Aeroplane Flight

Starting with my first aeroplane flight. I had never traveled via aeroplane before but this time while going home during Dashain, I traveled via aeroplane for the first time and with my own bucks. That was pretty rush & amazing experience as I was already late to the airport but thank god, the plane was still there probably waiting for me :P. I was so frightened at the first but after the take off, every thing went good and I even got chance to take the beautiful photos of Mt. Everest while I was on the sky high. • Pathivara Temple

I really had to make my biggest life effort to be at that place. Challenging landscape, cold weather, pretty hard pathway but overall it was awesome experience. I have never done so much effort before ever but I did it to be at that place and guess what it was damn “worthy”. It was my first visit to that place. And probably second one of my mother. I really prayed for the mankind at that place. This was my family trip to pathivara temple but I want to make this travel even with people I love in near-future.

• Red Rose

Ah !!  back in days ( 2014-2015 ) working at eSewa, everyday I used to pass-by the flower shop just looking at those beautiful flowers thinking that someday I would buy them for sure for someone. 2016 gave me a chance to buy them all, I bought entire flowers for her. Though we are good friend now but she gave me feeling of buying them for her so I grabbed entire flowers wherever we used to meet. Those are just a precious memories now. 2017 , common I want to buy entire flower shop, lead to the crazy mind. 😀 hahhahaha !!!

• Bike Trial

2016 even forced me to ride a bike but I was unable to ride at first so I was forced to join a ‘driving centre’ and the timing of the drivin centre was so odd that I had to rush as soon as my office hour-end. It was amazing experience and I really learned to ride  and that 8  is a piece of cake for me but still I don’t have license, that a shit part.

There are many things that I don’t even remember which I did for the first time and I am so thankful for those beautiful moments as they are required to make my life even more colorful and I would like to do even more thrilling adventures and awesome things at 2017 which will also be my ‘the first’ and will definitely mention them all at ‘2017 – Year in Review‘.

2016 was an amazing year doing lot of amazing work, gaining amazing experiences, meeting wonderful people and doing some craziness. 2016 was so much colorful filled with lot of moments of colors  but I can’t deny this year has included some of the biggest challenges I’ve ever faced also. Mental breakdowns due to overwork loads & pressure. Panic attacks, self-doubt, insecurities, cancelled trips, bedbugs, allergic reactions & impatience. Those terrible experiences were necessary for me to reassess my life and make the changes I’d been putting off for a while.

Overall it was one of the best year of my life so far but I want to make 2017 even more brighter and colorful. 🙂 

2017 Goals

 

Year has just started ! lets not worry about the goal or achievement, lets flow with the time and set goal on the journey of 2017. 🙂
