You are Love

While many of us look for love from a partner and mate, we often miss out on the person who has some amazing love to give, and who is amazing: the person looking back at us from the mirror.

If we fall in love with ourselves — not in a selfish way, but in an appreciative way — we will discover a source of love that doesn’t run out.

Why do we constantly seek validation from others first, making ourselves an option we like to ignore? Why do we destroy ourselves in the process of trying to be accepted? Why do we lose our worth valuing someone else? Why do we keep waiting for someone else to love us, when we clearly know it’ll never be enough.

You don’t need acceptance, or approval for being the way you are. You don’t have to fear for the flaws you bear, the imperfections you hold. Your flaws define you. Never make your home, your safe place inside someone else. You should know that they’ll break you, break you apart. Break your innocent, trust, fragile heart, leaving scars that you’ll recall weeping at night and that’s because of your high hopes and expectation from people.  It’s said that too much expectation leads to sadness. So, always keep your expectation high on your achievement and goal and low on people.

Be the person who you always imagined would fall in love with you. With your stupid crooked smile, your stubborn hair, your broken soul, your childlike heart, your adorable smile. You don’t have to wait for love, you are love. You don’t have to wait for someone else to make you happy because happiness is not something you receive, it is something that comes from within. Happiness lies within yourself. No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. You are enough and you are everything you will ever need to save yourself from this world.

So don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not loved
